Unhip is Pretty Hip…

Been playing with this new Google thing that searches for keywords in books to see if there are any trends. Getting worried about humanity.

Seems like there has been a dearth of love for a while, but that it might be going back up again. Seems like when people have more they love less (i.e. from the economic boom of 1950s onwards we had a bump before a rise). Wonder if this is real?

Seems like we have been pretty consistent with our hatred towards one another. Seems like now is the ‘peak’ of all disdain. Love has gone up too, but seems like hatred is a much more fashionable emotion.

Not religious, but seems like ‘Jesus’ is just as busy as ever (nearly as busy as he was in WWII). So confused.

No one cares about Satan any more though. Wonder why?

Perhaps all these Jesus lovers need him to take their pain away?

Or maybe their stress? It could be that we are stressed because there is more hate in the world, or maybe even some other factor that I didn’t even Google and try to make correlate.

Just happy that ‘unhip’ is part of the zeitgeist because it means I have a semi-relevant blog url. Wonder why people were unhip in the 1800s. Probably meant something completely different.

-Are you gonna play with Google Ngrams?
-Does this data actually mean anything?
-Do have any idea what the fuck I’m talking about?

Unhip Google Merchandise Discovered

I can’t even begin to describe my love of Google. ?And even though I know that it might sound strange, or even sick, or unhealthy, ?I have to let it be known that every time I hear those wondrous two syllables, I can feel my heart overflowing like some kind of reservoir that’s been forced to reach its full capacity thanks to a magical and gratifying rain. In a perfect world Google would rule all things – not just information, or books, or the things that the Chinese are allowed to bear Internet-based witness to – but government policies, social strategies, and games of bingo. Each would be dressed in company attire and all would take logo beach towels with us to go surfing. ?It’s only a dream, I know. ?Yet, I ask you, is a man without a vision not a man without a purpose?
