When you’ve hit rock bottom the only way out is down and the only way down is through Billy Joel.
Sometimes you just need a reminder that it’s okay to make mistakes, that you’re not a perfect, shimmering diamond; that you’re not infallible, but that it’s all right and it’s okay – whoo hoo hoo (you’re only human).
Feel like it’s just not the done thing to be an aging bachelor with Billy Joel dependency issues. Reminds me of that quote by Ghandi: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Honestly feel like, with Billy by my side, I can rise above it all, that all my problems will be solved, and that one day I will float free and serene and away of it all…
I can almost hear the waves break…
Feel like Billy is the only one that understands. Feel empowered knowing that he’s out there honey badgering thing up. Feel like Billy makes it okay to be assertive, to grasp life by the balls, and let people know that this life is mine and I’m gonna do what I want with it.
Best of all is that Billy cares about you, bro. He’s made mistakes and doesn’t want you to do the same. If only you could forget your foolish pride and open up your heart. The path to happiness in Billy’s world is twofold: 1) just be yourself, 2) tell her about it.
Gonna set the world ablaze.
Does Billy Joel speak to the common man or do you have to be a coked up yuppie to truly understand?
